– Oregano (US /ɔːˈrɛɡənoʊ/ or /əˈrɛɡənoʊ/;[1] UK /ˌɒrɪˈɡɑːnoʊ/;,[2] scientific name Origanum vulgare, is a flowering plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae).
– It is native to temperate western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.
